Trust Hughes Subaru to Illustrate the Benefits of the Subaru WRX over Competitors

Looking for an eye-catching car that'll take you to work and back with style, power, and fun performance? At Hughes Subaru, we think our 2019 Subaru WRX sedan is just the car you're looking for.

Any number of other carmakers can claim to make the most thrilling, most exciting, performance-tuned car around, but only the Subaru WRX backs it up with genuine, head-turning fun.

But, don't take our word for it. Check out all of the ways we've discovered that the 2019 WRX outshines the performance car competition.

The 2019 Subaru WRX vs. the Volkswagen Golf GTI

  • Standard engine power. The Subaru starts drivers off with a 268-horsepower engine and goes up from there. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen only starts off with a standard 228-horsepower offering.
  • All-wheel drive. As a Subaru, the WRX comes with all-wheel drive standard, of course, while the Volkswagen doesn't offer it at all.
  • Interior space. The Subaru WRX feels more spacious on the inside, because it is. It has more headroom and legroom than the Volkswagen, especially in the front seat.

The 2019 Subaru WRX vs. the Ford Focus ST

  • Engine. The Ford Focus can't quite match the standard power of the Subaru WRX, which has a base output of 268 horsepower, compared to the base 252 horsepower of the Ford.
  • All-wheel drive. A standard feature across the WRX lineup, it's not available on the Ford Focus ST.
  • Fuel range. The Subaru averages 334 miles in the city and 429 miles on the highway per tank of gas, compared to the Ford, which gets around 273 miles in the city and 372 miles on the highway per fill up.

The 2019 Subaru WRX vs. the Honda Civic

  • Power. The Honda Civic sedan is a mild commuter's car, while the Subaru WRX helps you find the fun on your commute, with a standard engine that puts out 268 horsepower, and a more-powerful option that gives you even more. The Civic sedan, on the other hand, starts at 158 horsepower, and doesn't go much higher than that.
  • All-wheel drive. Subaru signature all-wheel drive is standard across the WRX lineup, and not available even as an option for the Honda Civic.
  • Passenger space. Although similarly sized overall, the Subaru WRX offers you more headroom and legroom, especially in the front seat.
